We pride ourselves on being an ethical hobby breeder, dedicated to producing high-quality, cream-colored, AKC Golden Retrievers. Located near the Alabama-Georgia border, our dogs boast European ancestry and hail from International-Champion lineage.
At Hearthstone Goldens, our primary focus is on breeding dogs for service or therapy work, although we also provide pups to qualified homes as pets/companions. On occasion, we may consider granting breeding rights to exceptional breeders.
As a curriculum-based breeder, we raise our pups in a home environment alongside other animals and children. Our practices include early sensory stimulation, diverse socialization techniques, and potty training pups to sod, as well as commencing crate training and obedience lessons at six weeks of age. Puppies depart our home at eight weeks, vaccinated, worm-free and microchipped.
We believe in the importance of carefully matching each pup with a home environment that best suits and honors its personality. To achieve this, we conduct extensive interviews and applications, supplemented by personality testing for each pup to ensure optimal pairing with their new family or environment.
Our commitment to the well-being of our puppies extends beyond their departure from our care. Each puppy comes with a two-year health guarantee, and we remain readily available to offer guidance and support to new owners whenever needed.
With over 15 years of experience, we are experts in whelping, training and caring for Golden Retrievers. We have a deep understanding of their temperament, behavior, and health needs, which allows us to produce high-quality puppies that make great service dogs and pets.
We ensure, through OFA, PennHIP, DNA and other various health testing that our breeding-dogs are in optimal condition and do not pass on any hereditary disease or defects so that we can guarantee our pups are healthy and will not have any structural or genetic issues.
In addition, due to the ENS training and conditioning we do with them beginning at just 3 days old, we ensure that when they leave our home they will be confident, brave and curious pups that won’t be prone to anxiety or developing fears of fireworks, thunder or other types of stimuli. We do everything within our power to set these pups up for success and a happy, healthy future.
We have chosen a really impressive Ukrainian stud, Oskar. and drove all the way from Georgia to Ohio to use him as a stud. We are so enamored with him that we reserved him over a year ago for this breeding. His lineage is heavily saturated in Champions and he is the full package of beauty, brawn, brains, genetics and lineage! We are so excited about this pairing that we will be keeping 2 pups out of the litter for ourselves this will only be accepting 4 deposits prior to the pups being born.
Aspen’s (aka AKC Disney Vapra’s Legacy, Aspen Kokopelli) and Oskar’s (aka AKC Oskar Fine Nomi Kin) pups are expected to be born May 11th and will be ready for new homes 8 weeks later on or around July 6th!!
Aspen lives here in Georgia with us and has the sweetest disposition and is just an all around amazing dog! Aspen’s mom is 1/2 Russian and her dad is Russian and Ukrainian and he is owned by the same stud owner as Oskar. (We really love her program and don’t mind driving across the US to ensure we have quality genetics in our lines!) Aspen has been health tested through Embark. Aspen is a family dog, a therapy dog and currently in service dog training as well (I am an amputee) though obviously taking a hiatus to raise a litter of pups. Her mother comes from service dog lines and her dad comes from champion lineage which is just as saturated as Oskar’s. Aspen has never met a stranger and receives compliments on her beauty and temperment everytime we leave the house. She loves the water, loves to hike and is fearless! She has a playful but gentle disposition and adores children. She also may be one of the smartest and most empathetic dogs I have ever met!!! She is definitely my pride and joy! Aspen’s parents both have great OFA and PennHIP scores and her mom and one of her siblings have also recently earned their Champion status in the show ring!
Oskar has a calm, sweet and goofy disposition as you’d expect from a Golden Retriever… and a great big blocky head as many love to see in the creams. Aspen’s dad has an equally blocky head so we are really expecting some amazing looking pups from this litter. Oskar has been OFA tested for heart, eyes, elbows and hips and got great scores for all of them and is he also DNA tested as you’ll see in his k9data picture.
We will begin taking deposits on May 1st. Most of our puppies are usually reserved before they are born so it’s important to get those applications in ASAP to be put on our list! This is going to be an exceptional litter, don’t miss out!!!
Oskar and Aspen are expecting pups May 11th which will be ready for new homes around July 6th.
Aspen had her scan on April 26th and we are counting at least 9 pups!!!
Aspen had an ultrasound done on April 8. ANSI was confirmed via ultrasound. Ultrasounds are not used to count the number of puppies as it is highly inaccurate but we did see at least five. Years ago we were told one to two for an ultrasound and she had 10!😅
We will be getting a puppy count x-ray done on 26 April so stay tuned for more p’updates!
Our pups are adopted quickly, so reach out to reserve your furever friend or to ask any questions.
